The Elms Residential Care Home, Stapleton, Bristol – Genie Care

The Elms was built in the early part of the 19th Century and lies within the Stapleton and Frome Valley Conservation area. The building is Grade II listed and sits in private grounds in an elevated position off Park Road.

The owners wished to create secure, modern, comfortable accommodation for elderly residents with dementia by adding a single storey extension in the footprint of the existing courtyard and extending to the rear. The first phase provided 9 additional care bedrooms together with improvements to communal spaces. Noma are currently designing a larger 30 bedroom extension to the side of the home.
