Sidcot School, Winscombe, North Somerset – Sidcot School

Acting as the school’s retained Architects, NOMA worked on numerous projects with the Governors of Sidcot School. Extra planning and care were needed as the buildings are Grade II listed, and parts of the school site are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A key project was the new library and IT complex, constructed to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the school’s founding. This incorporated a special 6 metre stained glass dome over a central atrium. Other projects included the creation of additional classrooms, refurbishment of the common room, and the creation of new student bedrooms. NOMA also prepared a master plan for future developments at the school.
